A Review of Hunted Angel Novel: New Revenge by Kamlyn Paige

Finally, after almost half a year, the third novel in the Chronicles of a Supernatural Huntsman series by Alex Apostol, titled Hunted Angel, is complete. I’m happy it’s finished, even though the story remains ordinary, even worse a bit.  

Hunted Angel was published in the year 2016 by Pfeffer Haus Publishing as the third book of Kamlyn Paige's journey.

Synopsis

Although the primary mission to defeat her child’s murderer, Lamia, has been accomplished, Kamlyn Paige must continue her journey due to Sari’s death at the hands of Tamiel, the leader of the fallen angels. This mission of revenge is accompanied by the unveiling of a bitter past, and the hunt begins.  

Review

Gathering New and Old Characters

After a brief moment of peace, a new storm arrives for Kamlyn Paige: the death of her significant partner, Sari. Thus, a new, more dangerous villain emerges—Tamiel. As a fallen angel on Earth, his power is unquestionable. This is where the identity of The Watchers—those observing and searching for Kamlyn—are revealed.  Familiar characters such as John Weston, who appeared in the early chapters of the second novel, and Ryker Alexander from the first novel, return to join the party alongside Don and Holly. Additionally, Jake, the dog, provides some surprises and serves as a bridge to the next story.

No Climax

However, my expectations for an epic battle between the five protagonists and Tamiel with his subordinates were dashed. They were forced to retreat and devise a better strategy. The addition of the monstrous human named Magnar from the Chamber of Darkness could not alleviate that disappointment. As such, we’ll have to wait for the fourth novel, Wayfare Angel. 

Well-written Still

In terms of writing, as usual, it remains easy to understand, with only a few minor typos that are not worth mentioning.  

Conclusion

Well, the third novel in the Chronicles of a Supernatural Huntsman series is not as thrilling as the previous two novels, but it still leaves readers curious about the climactic battle in the next installment.
